In each of the last few years, I have kept track of bills I have authored that have been signed into law. These should give you a sense for the type of issues I’ve focused on as a legislator.
2026

HF 3479 clarifies when a mortgage sale can be postponed, potentially helping homeowners keep their homes, was signed into law on 4/21/26.

HF 4241 clarifies the appointment process for the Hennepin County Medical Examiner and includes two additional local government provisions. It was signed into law on 4/29/26.

HF 4461 requires candidates for Three Rivers Park Commissioner to file a statement of economic interest. It was included in HF 4241, which was signed into law on 4/29/26.

HF 4239 clarifies campaign finance laws in light of several court decisions, and includes additional privacy provisions. It passed the House on 5/14/26 and was sent to the Governor.

HF 3363 protects the privacy of people involved in the political process. Its provisions were included in HF 4239, which passed the House on 5/14/26 and was sent to the Governor.

HF 4240 is the Secretary of State’s Administrative Bill, which modernizes election statutes, streamlines administration, and provides clearer guidance for election officials while maintaining election security. It passed the House on 5/14/26 and was sent to the Governor.

HF 4471 requires licensure for music therapists. It passed as part of HF 3825, the scope of practice bill.

HF 3664 allows the Compensation Council sufficient time to make its recommendations to the legislature. It was included in HF 4591, the State Government Policy bill.

HF 207 provides funding for a fire station in Golden Valley. $2 million was included for this project in HF 709, the Capital Investment bill.

HF 3365 provides funding for a public works facility in Robbinsdale. $3.325 million was included for this project in HF 709, the Capital Investment bill.

HF 159 was requested by the city of Robbinsdale and will enable more cities to invest a portion of their reserves. It was included in the State Government Finance bill (HF 1830).

HF 160 was requested by a Golden Valley resident and would create a service learning grant program for our schools. It was included in the K-12 Finance bill (HF 2497).

HF 175 allows our sovereign tribes to transport medical cannabis to testing facilities. It was included in the cannabis bill (HF 100).

HF 236 permits a spouse of a disabled veteran to apply for a property tax exclusion after the death of the service member. This provision was included in the tax bill (HF 1938).

HF 274 created a taskforce to redesign the Minnesota state seal, which has problematic imagery, and the state flag, which has problematic imagery and is poorly designed. It was included in the State Government Finance bill (HF 1830).

HF 365 secured funds for a new fire station in Golden Valley. Funding was included in the cash bonding bill (HF 670).

HF 367 would allow child care centers to adopt a policy related to immunization. It was included in the 2024 Education bill (HF 5237).

HF 544 created safety requirements for clinician-administered drugs. It was included in the Commerce bill (SF 2744).

HF 568 increased the rate for Intermediate Care Facilities, which serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the state. It was included in SF 2934, the Human Services bill.

HF 638 funded grants to cities in the Metro Area to address inflow and infiltration in the sanitary sewer system. Funding was included in both the Environment bill (HF 2310) and the bonding bill (HF 669).

Under HF 642, Minnesota would join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which will soon ensure that our President is elected when more people vote for them - the way every elected office should be treated. The bill was included in the State Government Finance bill (HF 1830).

HF 654 allowed residents of Golden Valley to vote on funding for new public works and public safety facilities. This provision was included in the tax bill (HF 1938).

HF 1231 created a funding source to ensure land survey monuments are properly identified, reducing land disputes. It was included in the State Government Finance bill (HF 1830).

HF 1459 provided more effective remedies for victims of consumer fraud. It was included in the Public Safety and Judiciary bill (SF 2909).

HF 1496 is a clone of Rep. Pinto’s HF 14 creating a system of criminal background checks for firearms purchases. It was included in the Public Safety and Judiciary bill (SF 2909).

HF 1577 provided funding for the Blue Line LRT, including costs related to predesign, design, engineering, environmental analysis and mitigation, right-of-way acquisition, construction, and acquisition of rolling stock . Funding was included in the Transportation bill (HF 1577).

HF 1604, providing grants to autism treatment providers, was included in the Human Services bill (SF 2934).

HF 1654 closed a loophole related to big-game licenses and people convicted of laws related to violations of game and fishing laws. It was included in the Environment bill (HF 2310).

HF 1723 reimbursed the state for redistricting litigation costs and provided the state match for federal election security funds. It was included in the State Government Finance bill (HF 1830).

HF 2204 redrew the districts for the Met Council members, ensuring Robbinsdale was in a district with similar suburbs. This process is required every ten years. It was signed into law on its own.

HF 4348 is the Model Data Security Law for banks, which will improve security at financial institutions. It was included in the Commerce Policy bill (SF 4097).
